Bee Journal: Yellow Leather
A small journal for those who like the buzz of a summer day.
This book has been bound in hand dyed yellow veg tanned goat leather, hot tooled with flowers inked in gold, and finished with a hand painted bumblebee. The endbands are hand sewn silk. The top and bottom edges are painted black with a splatter of vibrant yellow, while the fore edge is left raw. The endpapers are sun washed black lokta paper.
The journal has hand ploughed edges and has been rounded and backed with a hollow and false raised bands. The boards are laced on with recessed cords.
This is a handbound leather journal on blank 24lb aged parchment astroparche paper, perfect for writing or various dry art mediums. It contains at least 148 sheets and measures approximately 4.5” x 5.5”
This is a unique, finished piece and will be shipped in 3-5 business days.
If you would like to see more photos and/or videos before purchasing, please reach out.
As leather is a natural material, there will often be variations and marks in the patterning that make each piece unique. Please note that the book pictured will be the book you receive.

My books are handmade, custom items (with the exception of any rebinds, as the textblocks are legally purchased books, and the content is not altered in any way). Certain materials, especially leather, can contain natural variations. Colors may also vary between screens, though I do my best to take photos in lighting that accurately shows colors.
If you want more photos of an item before buying, feel free to reach out. If your book arrives and you find any issues or any damage incurred during shipping, please take pictures of any damaged items and packaging and reach out to me. All packages are shipped with insurance.
